National Apprenticeship Week 2025

Blank Placeholder

National Apprenticeship Week will be celebrated from 10th – 14th of February 2025. It is the 18th annual celebration of apprenticeships. The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider community.

You can find out more about Apprenticeships HERE.

Years 9-13 will have a full week of activities in their progress time sessions, and we have live events in school before, during and after the week itself – you’ll see which ones your year group will be taking part in as they are published on our careers plan and also on Morrisby.

Virtual Work Experience

We add as many live online work experience options as we can find to a calendar that you’ll find ON MORRISBY, our careers platform.  If you find any events that we’ve missed, let Mrs Hollinshead know on ahollinshead@wrotham.kent.sch.uk

If you are in Years 10-11, please book events that are outside of your school timetable. If you are in the sixth form, you will be given instructions on how to book sessions if they are during the school day; Year 12 students are expected to sign up to at least one of these opportunities, and it is optional for Year 13 and 14. This year, there are over 80 different experiences that have been chosen to allow flexibility and variety. These include (but are not limited to):

  • A wide range of on-demand short-courses on Springpod with opportunities to get feedback from employers.
  •  A number of live webinars with employers and apprenticeship providers
  • Online awareness presentations and workshops about different options at post-16 and post-18
  • Support for parents, carers and staff with live online events that are targeted specifically to answer any questions they may have.
