An Inspector Calls

On Wednesday 29^th January Box Clever Theatre came in to school to do a workshop production of exam text An Inspector Calls. Performing 3 times to all year 11 and selected year 10 students, they provided an alternative view of the characters, their motivations and the message JB Priestley was trying to convey.

Performing selected scenes that highlighted the characters attitudes and viewpoints gave a perspective that was both original and thought-provoking. Students were pushed out of their comfort-zones by being asked to get up to perform lines with the actors. Fahim Azim truly ‘stepped up to the plate’ by volunteering to be Mr Birling.
